Strangely, considering my love of films I have never been to LFF before.
However I was able to attend the screening of ‘A Private War‘, starring Rosamund Pike as Marie Colvin, a War correspondent who sadly passed away in 2012 in Syria.
Ushered through the red carpet to our seats, most of the cast were present including; Rosamund, Jamie Dornan, Tom Hollander and Stanley Tucci.
The film itself is fantastic, showing the different conflicts Marie Colvin had been to, including Sri Lanka where she was blinded by shrapnel. It also deals with her PTSD and the effect it had on her relationships.
If this film doesn’t win all the awards I will be shocked indeed.
