So I kicked off the May bank holiday and summer (the air has changed, mum confirmed it) with the All Points East festival on Friday.

It’s been a while since I have been to a music festival, I think the last one was the Radio 1 Big Weekend in Norwich a few years ago. But it was great, mainly because we (me and the housemate) splashed out on the VIP tickets, so a nice chill seating area and the cast of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies bibbling around was what awaited us.

The two main bands of the day were the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, who were brilliant, and I am ashamed to say I hadn’t really listened to too many of their songs previously but that has all changed now. And the second were LCD Soundsystem, they played emotional haircut, and dance yourself clean.

It was such a fun festival talking to complete strangers, not one ounce of trouble anywhere (unlike other festivals I have been to) will definitely be heading back next year.
