Work is getting busy for me this year which is great, I like to be kept busy at work.
And this week I was off to another European marketing lunch, following on from the ones I hosted in Geneva and Milan already this year.
The lunch all went well, I even got a round of applause (I mean naturally).
Afterwards I had a few hours to kill before I needed to head to the airport so with one colleague telling to walk in a general direction and just follow my feet that’s what I did.
And wow, Madrid is beautiful, it’s so beautiful, tree lined streets, lovely flower lined balconies and it is also the home to the oldest restaurant in the world, Sobrino de Botin, although my photo of that was rubbish so I will spare you. Interesting fact about Sobrino de Botin, Ernest Hemingway used to dine there regularly and Francisco de Goya was once a dishwasher there, incredible history.
I hope to go back and spend a bit longer meandering the streets of Madrid, but here are a few photos I took!
Beautiful photos, Laura. It looks as though you made the absolute most of your time in Madrid; I love cities you can stroll around.
